C & D Property Services offered Intack Head Farm for sale by public auction on the 8th November 2011 within Rosley Village Hall, Rosley, Nr. Wigton. The property comprised a useful small stockrearing farm of 62.96 acres (25.48 hectares) with a three bedroom farmhouse, which was in need of renovation and improvement but with scope to extend into the adjoining stone barn and byre range, together with some other storage and livestock buildings and adjoining land. The property was offered for sale in Three Lots and as a Whole.

Lot 1 comprised the farmhouse, buildings and adjoining land extending to 11.64 acres (4.71 hectares) and this was bid to £245,000. Lot 2 comprised 21.77 acres (8.88 hectares) of land adjoining Lot 1 and this was bid to £90,000 (£4,134 an acre). Lot 3 then comprised 29.51 acres (11.96 hectares) of land adjoining Lots 1 and 2 and this was bid to £100,000 (£3,384 an acre).

The bids for the Three Lots thus totalled £435,000 and it was then offered for sale as a Whole and, after an opening bid of £450,000, bidding quickly rose to £532,000 when it was sold to a local farming family.
